Kitty van der Mijll Dekker - Bauhaus Tea Towel
by Kitty van der Mijll Dekker
This design from 1939 is by Kitty van der Mijll Dekker, a graduate of the Bauhaus school in Germany and an acclaimed textile innovator. By varying weaving methods and colours, she brought something entirely new to the symmetrical red or blue check that had dominated Dutch kitchen textiles. A must for Bauhaus fans. Fun fact: the original can be found in the TextielMuseum collection.
